Now Play This 2015
September 4, 2015 - September 6, 2015
A Weekend of Games and Play.
From the website:
The underlying idea is that this is about games in whatever form: board games, digital games, pervasive games, playable sculptures, objects you poke at, guided walks that were secretly games all along.
Talks Line-Up
Games and Poetry on Wednesday 2 September, 7pm-8:30. We look at the intersection of games and poetry, with practitioners from both fields sharing their perspective. Includes readings of game poems (experimental work somewhere between game and poem), talks from Hannah Nicklin and Tom Betts, and a performance from Ross Sutherland.
Games and Intimacy on Friday 4 September, 7pm-8:30. Three game designers and writers talk about games and intimacy – from games they’ve loved to games they’ve made, from personal experiences to a wider examination of games that explore connections between people. Talks from Emily Short (Galatea, Blood & Laurels), Meg Jayanth (80 Days, Samsara) and Merritt Kopas (Forest Ambassador, Minkomora).
